The Quidditch pitch is an oval 500 ft long by 180 ft wide. At each end
of the pitch there are three goal-hoops. There are two versions of
the Hogwart's pitch in the game (one summer and one winter) and each
international team has its own stadium.

Each Quidditch team is made up of seven players. Three of these
players are called Chasers. For most of the game you will control the
Chasers. The Chasers play with a large red ball called the Quaffle.
The Chasers pass the Quaffle back and forth to one another and try to
shoot it through one of the goal hoops. Each goal is worth 10 points.
Chasers also try and tackle the other team's Chasers when they are in
possession of the Quaffle in order to take the Quaffle back.

Each team's goal-hoops are guarded by the team's Keeper. The keeper
tries to prevent the Quaffle from going through the hoops. The Keeper
also tosses the Quaffle back into play after the opposing team has
scored. Unfortunately, you do not get to control the Keeper except to
toss the Quaffle back into play.

Each team also has two players called Beaters. The Beaters are armed
with bats and it is their job to keep two iron spheres called Bludgers
away from their team and to knock those Bludgers into the other team's
Chasers. Getting hit with a Bludger causes a chaser to lose possession
of the Quaffle.

The final player on a team is the seeker. The Seeker's job is to catch
a very small, very fast ball called the Golden Snitch. A game of
Quidditch only ends when the Snitch is caught, and catching the Snitch
is worth 150 points.
